A Lunar Landing
I hadn’t seen it coming; the error cost me my legs.
They sat transfixed. Two men in white setting down upon the moon, as if anything were possible.
Gritted teeth, tears flooding my eyes, I finally planted my new foot.
‘One small step…
…a giant leap’,
I heard them say.
